A man was found shot Sunday afternoon at 627 Goodwin Road after Durham County sheriff's deputies were sent to investigate a report of shots being heard there, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.
Authorities said the man was taken to a hospital for treatment, but they did not disclose how badly he was injured or where the bullet hit him.
Spokeswoman Tamara Gibbs said the incident was reported about 5 p.m., but other details about the incident were withheld while investigators worked.
Deputies had been at the same house May 29 about a domestic disturbance, Gibbs said when asked the history of the location. That incident involved a car wreck and a man barricading himself inside the house, she said.
Never miss a local story.
In that case, Gibbs said, records showed the man had to be helped out of the house because of injuries from the crash and some self-inflicted ones. He was taken to a hospital.
