Sheriff's office narcotics deputies arrested four men on felony drug charges this week, two of them on trafficking charges, the agency said Thursday.
Wednesday, in an apartment at 2920 Chapel Hill Road, deputies seized marijuana plants and charged Joseph Ryan Mulay, 22, with manufacturing marijuana and maintaining a dwelling to keep and sell drugs, spokeswoman Tamara Gibbs said.
Derrick Lamont Dixon, 41, of 3706 Angier Ave. was charged Wednesday with trafficking in heroin and in opiates, maintaining a dwelling and illegally having a .45-caliber handgun because he is a felon and forbidden to have firearms.
Terrell Clifford Alston, 26, was arrested Wednesday after deputies searched his home at 2101 Holloway St. They charged him with having heroin, crack cocaine, and marijuana and with failing to appear in court when he was told to on several earlier charges, Gibbs said.
Robert Lee Garrett, 58, was arrested June 11 at a Rite Aid drugstore at 1508 Broad St. and charged with trafficking in opiates, six counts of getting a controlled substance with a fraudulent prescription and six counts of identity theft.
