An Apex man who officials say works at a pizza business was scheduled for a Thursday court appearance after Cary police charged him with the armed robbery of a Little Caesars pizza shop on Aug. 3.
Jonathon Gray Degraw, 29, who is listed as living in Goldston, was arrested at an apartment complex at 7207 Creek Glen Way in Apex late Wednesday morning, records showed.
He listed a Marco’s Pizza outlet as his employer when being booked at the Wake County Detention Center.
An arrest warrant charges Degraw with robbery with a dangerous weapon and said he used a handgun in the robbery at 203 E. Chatham St. about 7:30 p.m.
Police said the suspect gave an employee a note and showed a gun. He fled with about $270, the arrested warrant stated.
Police credited tips from the community with helping them charge Degraw.
“The community definitely plays a role in how successful we are in making arrests quickly,” said Capt. Randall Rhyne, head of the police investigations unit.
Degraw was held in lieu of $50,000 bail after his arrest.
