Wake board OKs job protections for teachers

The Wake County school board approved Tuesday a policy that provides the local equivalent of career status, or tenure, that state lawmakers have been trying to remove from teachers. The board also approved an enrollment cap on Enloe High School that will result in new families who move into the Raleigh school’s attendance area being sent to Athens Drive or Broughton high schools.
