Resolutions were passed at the Board of Governors meeting on Thursday to lower tuition and fees, reorganize the staff of UNC President Margaret Spellings and the board's meetings, and to look into moving the UNC system headquarters out of Chapel Hill.

Robert Campbell speaks about how the UNC Center for Civil Rights helped the Rogers-Eubanks Neighborhood Association, a community adjacent to a landfill outside Chapel Hill. The neighborhood filed a federal complaint, and eventually local officials stopped plans to build a transfer station at the landfill. The neighborhood now has a community center and houses are being connected to public water and sewer.
