Students awarded McDonald's related scholarships

Twelve area students have been awarded $1,000 scholarships from Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Carolina.
The recipients include Mariah Bishop of Apex, Ainha Derry of Oxford, Paula Escobar of Raleigh, Jordyn Izzo of Knightdale, Tanya Lagunas of Siler City, Gabrielle McArdle of Durham, Miles Ndukwe of Raleigh, Carlos Parra of Four Oaks, Juan Razo of Durham, William Tingen of Butner, Maya Weinberg of Chapel Hill and Kendell Williams of Henderson.
In addition, some McDonald’s employees were awarded $1,000 Ray Kroc Youth Achievement Award Scholarships. The recipients include Addison Ayscue of Oxford, Jenny Bautista of Four Oaks, Ashley Cook of Clayton, Beny Diaz-Gutierrez of Raleigh, Isabella Enxuto of Angier, Diana Gamez Vargas of Raleigh, Samantha Goodwin of Wake Forest, Precious Grimes of Raleigh, Ayanna Harrison of Raleigh, Alayna Hill of Knightdale, Colin Hughes of Garner, Nicholas Kirkland of Fuquay-Varina, Harry Knight III of Raleigh, Mecca McCloud of Raleigh, Tavish Mitchell of Raleigh, Shant’e Newman of Roxboro, Melina Papacrist of Raleigh, Carlos Parra of Four Oaks, Sujey Perez Gamez of Wendell, Christina Phillips of Garner, Jessiqua Pryor of Garner, Tsharre Sanders of Clayton, Kenya Smith of Smithfield, Gregory Stewart of Garner, Melissa White of Raleigh, Connell Wilson of Garner.
