The National Merit Scholarship Corp. has announced this year's Achievement Scholarship winners.
The Achievement Scholarship honors black students who have shown consistently high academic performance, received endorsements from their high schools and earned exceptionally high scores on the PSAT and the SAT.
Each of the about 700 Achievement Scholarship winners nationwide receives $2,500 for college.
