Nine Triangle high school seniors were awarded college-sponsored National Merit Scholarships.
Those winners join about 2,200 other college-sponsored scholarship recipients.
The awards are valued between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution funding the scholarship.
