Chloe Renee Calhoun, a Cary 7th grader at Martin Gifted & Talented Magnet Middle School in Raleigh, was selected for the 2015 National Middle School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. Chloe performed with the National Honors Junior Choir. Participation in the Honors Ensembles is limited to the highest rated middle school performers from across North America and select schools internationally.

Chloe is a member of Martin Middle School’s Honors Chorus, conducted by Danny Yancey, who nominated her for the audition opportunity.
Chloe studies voice with Ms. Annette Stowe. She studies drama, music and dance at Martin Middle School and at North Carolina Conservatory where she has appeared in NCT Mainstage productions of “EVITA!,” “Oliver,” and “The Little Mermaid.”
Chloe said, “I am so grateful and excited for the opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall with other students who love music as much as I do. It’s a dream come true and a step towards my goal of being a Broadway performer.”
