Brooke Babb, Sarah Bedini, Madeline Graybill, and Anne Howard of Raleigh have earned the Silver Award, the second highest achievement in Girl Scouting.
For their project, the girls crocheted hats and scarfs for homeless individuals living in downtown Raleigh. They placed the items on benches and trees around the city center with a note encouraging the homeless to use them. Additionally, they taught junior Girl Scouts crochet skills as an effort to inspire them to support their project. The troop also held a clothing drive to support the overall project, which they called “Warmth for Wake.”
