Kaileigh Ault and Brynn Oliver of Cary have earned the Silver Award, the second highest achievement in Girl Scouting.
For her project, Kaileigh hosted a diaper and clothing donation drive for Dorcas Ministries, a non-profit organization which provides crisis relief to local residents. She collected more than 5,700 diapers and bags of gently used clothes and assorted baby items. Additionally, she created an instructional guide for future volunteers who wish to perform similar donation drives.
Kaileigh is the daughter of Kim and Tim Ault. She has been a Girl Scout since 2007 and is a Girl Scout Juliette.
For her project, Brynn created a bee education box for Lake Crabtree County Park. The box included games, craft kits, posters, and educational materials for park rangers to use to educate the public about native bees. Additionally, she constructed 10 mason bee boxes and installed them at various sites around the park.
Never miss a local story.
Brynn is the daughter of Bill and Rebekah Oliver. She has been a Girl Scout since 2008. She also participates in Wake County Chapter of Junior Cotillions and is a member of Triangle Rock Club Team.
