Elena Kelly and Rachael Kluge of Raleigh have earned the Silver Award, the second highest achievement in Girl Scouting.
For their project, Elena and Rachael created an activities directory for Hope Reins, a local nonprofit horse ranch that provides equine therapy sessions to hurting children and their families. They created their project as an effort to provide Hope Reins volunteers and program participants with interactive activities. They hope their project will encourage members of the community to get involved with the organization.
Elena is the daughter of Laura and David Kelly and has been a Girl Scout since 2007.
Rachael is the daughter of Sweety and Bill Kluge and has been a Girl Scout since 2012.
They are members of Troop 326.
