Two Cary Boy Scouts have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Boy Scouting. Here’s what they did for their projects.
Morgan Rathbone led the collection, refurbishing, updating and installation of laptops and other computer equipment for the children and families served by The Carying Place, a local non-profit organization serving working homeless families. Equipment was placed in the short term housing apartments for families to use during the 16 weeks they are in the self-sufficiency development program. Morgan is the son of Malinda Mast Rathbone of Cary, and Kip Rathbone of Waynesville NC.
Nathan Lembo designed and built storage shelves for Dorcas Ministries, a local non-profit organization that provides crisis relief to area residents seeking stability and self-sufficiency through food and financial assistance, scholarships, training programs, referrals and an affordable thrift shop. The storage shelves make it possible for more items to be accepted and stored safely. Nathan is a senior at Braintree Academy. His parents are Vivian and Philip Lembo.
Both boys are members of Troop 232, chartered by Cary Presbyterian Church in Cary.
