The Panther Creek DECA chapter has completed their Entrepreneurial Promotional Project by conducting a four-day workshop for 3rd-5th grade students at Weatherstone Elementary in Cary. DECA members worked with the children to complete puzzles that taught them about specific concepts of entrepreneurship like marketing, pricing and producing their goods. They also provided them with the materials necessary to create their very own business. Finally, the students were split into groups where they sold their products to each other, giving them a greater understanding of what it takes to start their own business, and an increased enthusiasm about the field of entrepreneurship.
DECA is an international association of high school and college students and teachers of marketing, management and entrepreneurship.
