There are still spots left for Wednesday’s Town Hall forum to help the Wake County school system develop its new five-year strategic plan.

More than 700 people have registered to attend the forum that will run from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the McKimmon Center, 1101 Gorman Street in Raleigh. But school officials say they’ve still got space for around 200 more people.

Go to www.wcpss.net/vision for a link to register for the forum.

After opening comments, participants will spend much of the 90-minute block working in small groups to discuss district goals.

The WakeEd blog is devoted to discussing and answering questions about the major issues facing the Wake County school system. WakeEd is maintained by The News & Observer's Wake schools reporter, T. Keung Hui.
