The Wake County school system has officially announced when students will make up today’s snow day.
Traditional-calendar students, who account for the majority of Wake’s 153,000 students, will now have to attend school on Feb. 17 – Presidents Day. Modified-calendar students will also have classes on Feb. 17.
Students at multi-track year-round schools and single-track year-round schools will have classes this Saturday – Feb. 1. They’ll only be in school for 3.5 hours with bus pick-up times being the same as the weekday schedule. Breakfast and lunch will not be served, but students may bring snacks to school. There will be no recess or clubs.
The early colleges and single-sex leadership academies will make up the day on May 29.
No announcement has been made on when students would make up school if class is canceled Wednesday. But the next day listed on the makeup list for traditional-calendar schools would be April 21 – Easter Monday.
Year-round students would get another day of Saturday school.
