The direct line to Wake County Superintendent Jim Merrill has been put on hold.

Tonight’s “Superintendent’s Direct Line” forum at Panther Creek High School in Cary is off because of the inclement weather that also canceled school for the day. No word yet on whether Wake plans to reschedule the forum, which is the only one of the five that was scheduled for western Wake.

Currently, the next scheduled forum is on Feb. 3. at Southeast Raleigh High School.

The WakeEd blog is devoted to discussing and answering questions about the major issues facing the Wake County school system. WakeEd is maintained by The News & Observer's Wake schools reporter, T. Keung Hui.
