Wake County‘s top two elected bodies have an agreement to work together on school construction but exactly how it will be put into effect remains to be finalized.

A big step in the process is expected to take place at today’s meeting of the Wake County school board’s facilities committee. School facilites staff will present a document on how a “core team” of school and county staff will collaborate on matters such as site acquisition, construction and design of schools.

The committee will also get an update on new design build options for construction methods.
