Wake County school board extends interim appointments

The Wake County school board on Tuesday extended the interim appointments of an assistant superintendent and a principal.

Kathryn Chontos’ contract as interim assistant superintendent for student support services was extended to May 9. She’s held the position since January.

Craig Matthews’ stay as interim principal at Aversboro Elementary School in Garner was extended to June 13. He’s been at the school since January.
