    The B-1 Navy band, which included the Moonglowers, helped integrate the U.S. Navy in 1942, playing for the pre-flight school in Chapel Hill and traveling to wartime Pearl Harbor. The 44 men, all from North Carolina, will be honored with a historic marker on Franklin Street on Saturday, May 27.
