There will be a food drive at Sunday's performance by the Allman Brothers Band and Widespread Panic at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek in Raleigh.
Food and monetary donations collected at the show will benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, which provides food to pantries, shelters, soup kitchens and group homes in 34 counties.

Hadassah charity craft fair
Hadassah of Cary is having a charity craft fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 18 at the CC Jones Building, 309 Holleman St. in Apex.
There will be a large variety of vendors. Parking and admission are free.
Hadassah is a volunteer organization of women who work to strengthen their partnership with Israel, ensure Jewish continuity and realize their potential as a dynamic force in American society.

Birdies for the Brave
The TCP Wakefield Plantation and the PGA Tour will hold a golf tournament to benefit charities that support members of the military and their families.
Birdies for the Brave will take place starting at 10 a.m. Nov. 2.
All net proceeds will be distributed among six charities: Homes for our Troops, Fallen Heroes Fund, Naval Special Warfare Foundation, Operation Homefront, Special Operations Warrior Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project.
