Bank robber claimed to have bomb

DURHAM -- Police are investigating a Tuesday robbery at SunTrust Bank, 1516 N. Gregson St.

A man entered the bank about 11:30 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money. The note said the man had a bomb, but no weapons were seen.

The man fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s or 40s with a medium build and a mustache and beard. He was wearing sunglasses, a green ball cap, a black-and-red jacket and blue jeans.
