HILLSBOROUGH - Orange County's new economic development director is Bradly A. Broadwell, who has been economic development director in Dorchester County, Md.

Orange County Manager Laura Blackmon announced Broadwell's appointment Wednesday. He also will oversee the Visitors Bureau and Arts Commission.

Broadwell has served as a special assistant to the deputy secretary of commerce in the U.S. Department of Commerce and as an adviser for the U.S. Agency for International Development.
