School holding holiday fair

St. Thomas More School in Chapel Hill will hold its annual "Christmas Holiday Shoppe" craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.

The craft show, held at the school at 920 Carmichael St., will feature work by more than 70 crafters and artisans from across the Triangle, including handmade gifts and specialty items such as jewelry, Christmas ornaments and decorations, baby and children's items, wood crafts, purses and handbags, kitchen items, greeting cards, knitted items, candles and more.

The event will also include a raffle, bake sale, letters to Santa, musical entertainment and the Reindeer Cafe, serving lunch.

Admission is free. All proceeds support the school. For more information, call 490-8493.

JOGGIN' FOR YOUR NOGGIN'

Riverwood Elementary School in Johnston County will hold its Joggin' for your Noggin' 5K run and walk at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Riverwood Golf and Athletic Club, 400 Riverwood Drive, Clayton.

The event is a PTA fundraiser to support the school's language arts program. The entry fee is $25. For more information, see www.fsseries.com.
