Three teens found in home are charged

CHAPEL HILL - Police have charged three Greensboro teenagers with armed robbery after a man reported coming home early Wednesday morning and finding the teens in his house.

The resident, a young man, told police that he returned to his home on Fan Branch Lane with friends and found the intruders.

At least two of the intruders were armed, police say.

Ryan Craig Gartrell, 18; Patrick Cole Clark, 17; and Taumafalofi Taufagalupe Leasiolagi, 18, were arrested on South Greensboro Street near N.C. 54, not far from the house.

Capt. Chris Blue of the Chapel Hill Police said a fourth suspect was accidentally shot in a struggle with the people at the Fan Branch Lane house. He will be charged once he is released from UNC Hospitals. That suspect was identified as Jaquay Lamar Blacknall, 18, also of Greensboro.
