Carly Fiorina is headlining a fundraiser for U.S. Rep. Renee Ellmers on Monday in Raleigh.
Fiorina is a former Hewlett-Packard CEO who ran for U.S. Senate in California in 2010. She's now leading a political action committee aimed at getting more women to vote Republican. Ellmers, a Republican from Dunn, has that same interest.
Fiorina is also chairwoman of the American Conservative Union Foundation. She's been traveling the country campaigning for Republicans this year.
The Women for Ellmers Committee is sponsoring the fundraiser.
Ellmers is seeking a third term representing the 2nd Congressional District. She's facing Democrat Clay Aiken, who gained fame on "American Idol."
