Members of the state Legislative Black Caucus and other Democratic lawmakers in the General Assembly will hold a series of town hall meetings this year.

The first one is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday at Martin Street Baptist Church in downtown Raleigh.

Legislators plan to talk about the status of the Affordable Healthcare Act, recent legislation such as the elections law and education, and the economy.

Other Democratic legislators have begun holding similar meetings around the state.
