President Obama will visit NCSU on Wednesday during his trip to North Carolina, the university said on Saturday.

The White House announced earlier in the week that he would be coming to the Triangle, where he would begin to lay out his administrations agenda for the year, in a warm-up to his Jan. 28 State of the Union address.

Specifics weren’t announced until Saturday.

"We are honored to welcome President Obama and look forward to demonstrating how NC State is a pre-eminent research enterprise that excels in driving economic growth and educating the workforce of the future,” N.C. State Chancellor Randy Woodson said in a statement NCSU released.
