In another sign that the 2016 campaign season is already under way, the Republican National Committee announced four new hires for North Carolina on Thursday.
The N.C. Republican Party also hired a new finance director and political director.
“The RNC and the N.C. GOP are already hard at work building the most robust and technologically advanced political operation that this state has ever seen,” N.C. Republican Party executive director Todd Poole said in a news release. “While the other side wants to turn North Carolina blue, these new hires will ensure the N.C. GOP will have the experienced and talented staff on the ground that it takes to help elect a Republican president and Republicans up and down the ballot.”
Carrie Brown, a 2014 RNC staffer who’s been serving as communications director for the state party, will be the RNC’s North Carolina state director.
The other new RNC staffers are:
▪ Bronwyn Haltom, deputy state director
▪ Edgar Agosto, deputy state director and director of Hispanic initiatives
▪ Ryan Bonifay, data director
The N.C. GOP has also hired Kristen Laster as finance director and Katie Sullivan as political director.
