Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine is returning to North Carolina next week.
Kaine, a Virginia senator, will be joined by wife Ann Holton at a campaign event in Asheville on Monday. He’ll then travel to Fayetteville on Tuesday. Both events will promote Hillary Clinton’s economic proposals, which her campaigns says would add 325,000 jobs in North Carolina.
Kaine’s visit is the latest of what’s becoming a weekly pattern of presidential campaign stops in North Carolina, further underscoring the state’s role as a key battleground. It’s Kaine’s second appearance in the state since he joined the Clinton ticket, having appeared in Greensboro last week.
Republican Donald Trump held rallies this week in Wilmington and Fayetteville. His campaign has not yet announced its travel schedule for the coming weeks.
Details on the location and time of the Kaine events have not yet been released.
