Hagan pushes for tax credits for hiring vets

Sen. Kay Hagan said Tuesday that she has reintroduced a tax credit for businesses that hire veterans. The Hire A Hero Act provides businesses with a tax credit of up to $5,600 for hiring a long-term unemployed veteran and $9,600 for hiring a long-term unemployed veteran with a service-connected disability.
