Jonathan Brooks, a political fixture in North Carolina in recent years, is moving to the law and lobbying firm Ward and Smith, P.A., based in Raleigh.
He will be a senior government relations adviser working on state and federal issues, and strategic relations.
Brooks has been a strategist and fundraiser for a number of statewide and national candidates and organizations, including Sen. Thom Tillis, Sen. Richard Burr and U.S. Rep. Walter Jones, and the Republican Governors Association.
He is a native of Dunn and graduated from East Carolina University with an undergraduate degree in political science and a master’s degree in American history. He has been working for Macon Consulting.
