Pack passion colors his relationships, work

Since I was 10 years old and N.C. State won the national title in basketball with David Thompson and Co., I have been a Wolfpacker. I graduated in 1987 from N.C. State, and my relationships, both professional and personal, have always leaned towards Wolfpack alumni.

The color red brings out the passion in me, and I have always thought the color light blue was weak and feminine. It belongs in a baby's room, not in sports. Red is passion, red is love, red is blood. Why do you think a matador waves red at a bull? It instinctively stirs passion.

My friendships with Carolina alums or fans have always been distant. I once had a girlfriend who was a huge Carolina fan. We fought like cats and dogs about sports. It was never going to work long term.

I have relatives who are UNC alums, and our relationships have dissolved over the years. Even the owner of my company is a Wolfpack supporter, and I have never worked for a UNC alum. I am that passionate. Go Pack!
