CHAPEL HILL -
Kidzu Children's Museum has been awarded a $100,000 "Educational Innovation" grant by the Grable Foundation of Pittsburgh to support education and outreach programs, exhibit development and other operating expenses. It is the third award Kidzu has received from the Grable Foundation.
"This award is an enormous honor for Kidzu," said the museum's executive director, Cathy Maris. "The Grable Foundation's support has been a critical factor in our ability to serve children and families in need, to feature exceptional exhibits and to pilot new educational initiatives."
Kidzu Children's Museum, at 105 E. Franklin St., is a nonprofit community museum devoted to inspiring children to learn through play.
