POLICE OFFICERS MEMORIAL DAY: The annual N.C. Peace Officers Memorial Day Ceremony will be 11 a.m. today at Englewood Baptist Church, 1350 S. Winstead Ave. in Rocky Mount. The officers to be honored include: Sean Robert Clark and Jeffrey Ryan Shelton, Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department; Jason Christian Campbell, Greenville Police Department; and Alan Christopher Silver, Rocky Mount Police Department. The featured speaker will be Chris Swecker, corporate security director for Bank of America and former FBI assistant director. FREE HEALTH SCREENINGS OFFERED: The Women's Health Information Center at UNC Hospitals will hold a Women's Check-Up Day health fair from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Monday. Participants can have two free health screenings at the health fair: blood pressure and body fat analysis. Cholesterol screening will start early, 3:30 to 5 p.m., and cost $15. Health information will also be distributed on migraines, heart disease, cancer and diabetes. The fair will be in the lobby of the N.C.
