Durham man stabbed in chest

DURHAM - A man was taken to Duke Hospital after being stabbed in the chest Saturday morning.

Officers responded to a domestic stabbing just before 10 a.m. at 628 E. Knox St., where they found a man lying inside a vehicle. The man, whose identity police did not immediately release, is in serious but stable condition at the hospital.

Investigators believe the man was stabbed by his girlfriend, who is in custody. Police did not immediately release her name.
