One killed in Apex crash

APEX -- One person was killed and at least one more injured in a single vehicle crash on N.C. 55 early Sunday morning, Apex police said.

A car traveling south toward downtown Apex struck a utility pole outside a Waffle House on the 1400 block of N.C. 55 shortly before 1:45 a.m., said Corporal Matt Kutcher of the Apex police department.

Police have not released the names of the person killed or any other passengers in the car.
