The state Supreme Court will allow opponents of a planned strip club near the Raleigh-Durham International Airport to argue their case for keeping it out of the area.
In an order published today, the court agreed to review the case. The state Court of Appeals had previously ruled in favor of the club, reinstating a special permit granted by the Raleigh Board of Adjustment.
Owners of the club, which would be called The Runway, were planning to open the club next year.
In 2006, area business owners sued in Wake Superior Court to prevent The Runway from opening.
Owners were planning for The Runway to be a topless club on Mount Herman Road. But nearby residents have been concerned about it attracting a rough crowd.
