RALEIGH -- Police arrested a second man Saturday in connection with a June 1 serious assault that left the victim with five stab wounds in the back and a collapsed lung, court records show.

Derek Louis Griffis, 20, of Forest Ridge Road in Garner, was arrested Friday on charges of assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury.

According to arrest warrants, the victim was Levon Dickerson, 23, of Dansey Drive in Raleigh.

Griffis remained at the Wake County jail Saturday in lieu of $150,000 bail, according to an arrest warrant filed at the Wake County Magistrate's Office.

Police arrested Paul Emanuel Gainey, 17, of 716 Rawls Drive in Raleigh last week on the same charge.

Gainey also remained in custody Saturday at the Wake County jail under a $100,000 bail, a jail spokeswoman said.
