RALEIGH -- A man in his 20s was shot Wednesday night on Cantwell Court near its intersection with North Raleigh Boulevard, Raleigh police said.
Police identified the victim as Marcus DeAngelo Richardson, 23. He was taken to WakeMed for treatment.
Police received a call about the shooting about 10:45 p.m., according to a police spokesman Jim Sughrue. The area of the shooting is just east of downtown and north of New Bern Avenue.
The case remains under investigation, police said. Anyone with information that might assist investigators is asked to call the Detective Division at 890-3555 or CrimeStoppers at 226-2746.
