ZEBULON - A Louisburg man died Friday afternoon while swimming in a pool at a private residence in Zebulon.

Rescuers were called to a home in the 9100 block of Dukes Lake Road about 4:25 p.m., said Phyllis Stephens, spokeswoman for the Wake County Sheriff's Department.

They discovered the body of Curtis Morrison, 65, of 4388 U.S. 39 in Louisburg.

Stephens said the department is considering the incident a possible drowning.

Morrison's body has been sent to the N.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Chapel Hill for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The sheriff's department investigation is continuing, Stephens said.
