The National Weather Service canceled a tornado warning for Harnett and Lee Counties at 8:14 p.m., but said that "multiple public reports" indicate a tornado touched down between Olivia and Broadway.

Olivia is an unincorporated area in Harnett County, while Broadway is a town in Lee County. Severe thunderstorm warnings remained in effect for both counties until 8:45.

Southeastern Moore, Hoke, Cumberland and Scotland also remain under that severe thunderstorm warning.

Meanwhile, severe thunderstorm watches were issued throughout Central North Carolina tonight. Wake, Durham and Orange Counties all remain under a severe thunderstorm watch until 11:00 p.m., and severe thunderstorms were reportedly moving through both Fayetteville and Charlotte as well.
