WINSTON-SALEM -- Police are investigating the shooting deaths of two people at a house in Winston-Salem.
Police say John K. Gallaher III, 24, is charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of Sean Bert Gallagher, 23, of Rural Hall and Lori Fioravanti, 24, of Pfafftown.
Capt. David Clayton told the Winston-Salem Journal that officers were trying to figure out what happened.
Police said Gallaher met officers outside the house after calling 911 early Tuesday morning.
Gallaher's family would not talk about his arrest Tuesday. He had his first court appearance Wednesday and said he had hired an attorney.
Sean Gallagher's family would not talk with reporters.
Fioravanti's sister, Gina Gougler, told the newspaper the family has gotten no explanation for the shootings.
