RALEIGH - The N.C. National Guard will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) post exchange at the North Carolina National Guard Military Center in Raleigh,
this afternoon.The AAFES exchange is a tax free store selling non-grocery items. Profits go towards Army and Air Force welfare and recreation programs, according to a media release.All items purchased are tax free and savings average nearly 20 percent. All military retirees, active duty and fulltime guard and reserve service members are eligible to shop at the exchange. The Raleigh AAFES post, located next to the ID Card office on the Joint
Forces campus, is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on drill
weekends from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.The exchange post serves hot dogs, nachos, snacks, and drinks and sells items including personal hygiene products, military products, tobacco, and alcohol.
