SONS OF ITALY SPONSORING AUTHOR'S VISIT

The Triangle Sons of Italy will sponsor a visit in October by Justin Catanoso, the author of "My Cousin the Saint: A Search for Faith, Family, and Miracles." Catanoso, executive editor of The Business Journal in Greensboro, will talk about his book on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 4301 Columbus Drive, Raleigh. The book is a story about Catanoso's journey of family, faith and homeland. Admission is $10 and includes coffee and authentic Italian desserts. Seating is limited and reservations can be made at www.trianglesonsofitaly.org.

SEE ARCHITECTURE IN DOWNTOWN DURHAM

Historic Preservation Society of Durham volunteers will lead a 1 1/2-mile tour through downtown Durham highlighting the architectural styles popular in the 20th century Saturday. CHURCH WILL HOLD OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHT

Wake Forest Baptist Church will hold its "Community Outdoor Movie Night" at 8:15 p.m. today at the church's Stephenson Center in Wake Forest.
