RALEIGH -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Friday said it's OK for Americans to enjoy U.S.-grown raw jalapeno peppers, clearing the way for North Carolina growers to resume sales of the peppers.
The FDA had warned Americans to avoid eating any raw jalepenos, regardless of where they were grown. Federal authorities have been searching for the source of an outbreak of salmanella poisoning.
