Road work to block section of Tryon Road

closeCARY -- Motorists should expect delays on Tryon Road near Kildaire Farm Road today, as crews put a final layer of asphalt on the road.
The asphalt work will take place between Summerwinds Drive and the Waverly Place shopping center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists will be limited to one lane.
In case of bad weather, the work will be done Thursday. It is part of the Tryon Road widening project.
