A friend of Nancy Cooper said she never had plans to run with the murdered Cary mother on the day she was reported missing.

In a sworn affidavit filed in Wake County courthouse, Carey Clark said she never ran or had plans to run with Nancy Cooper on July 12.

Clark's sworn statement contradicts that of Cooper's husband, Bradley, who told a friend that his wife had gone out for a jog with a friend named "Carrie" the morning she went missing.

A walker found Nancy Cooper's body dumped near a storm drain in an unfinished subdivision near her home on July 14.

The Clark affidavit was filed on behalf of Nancy Cooper's parents in their case seeking custody of her two young daughters.

In other developments in the case, Bradley Cooper's lawyers filed subpoenas for records from Harris Teeter and Time Warner Cable.

So far, investigators have kept most details of the case quiet, including how Nancy Cooper died. Neither have Cary police named suspects in Cooper's death.
