DOT to close lanes on I-440 this weekend

RALEIGH -- The Department of Transportation will temporarily close the right two lanes of the I-440 Outer Beltline from Exit 15 (Poole Road) to Exit 13B (U.S. 264) in Raleigh for repaving from 9 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Sunday.

The left two lanes will remain open during this time.

Motorists traveling on I-440 East needing to access Poole Road (State Road 1007) will use a temporary exit located near the existing ramp.

Motorists traveling east on Poole Road needing to access the I-440 Outer Beltline should use the following detour:

Poole Road to New Hope Road (S.R. 2036) to U.S. 64 Business to I-440.

Motorists traveling west on Poole Road needing to access the I-440 Outer Beltline should use the following detour:

Poole Road to Sunnybrook Road (S.R. 2544) to New Bern Avenue (S.R. 2911) to I-440.
