DURHAM -- Two Durham men were arrested Sunday in the shooting of a third man.

Heriberto Noria, 38, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, after police say he shot Miguel Lazona with a .22-caliber handgun Sunday.

Noria was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon after police seized a machete.

Victor Vargas, 38, who shares an address with Noria at 2603 Duke Homestead Road, was charged with felony aiding and abetting.

Lazona's injuries were not life-threatening, officials said.

Noria was being held in the Durham County jail Sunday with bail set at $525,000. Vargas was held with bail set at $275,000.
